ps. I don't know if you noticed or if it was intentional... but on the left hand side of this pic you have captured "Parbraham sudha namskaro" and then the image is of "phoolan ki barkha barsaveh..."
so very apt that you caught the text.

sorry just being a geek. (",)

Could you write more about what's happening in the Gurdwara? It looks like people are throwing flower petals. Also there are four people standing behind the Guru. I'm interested in learning whatever event is taking place. Thanks.

Well, as stated earlier, I am not too clever, but I will try to explain this post.

This was posted on Monday which was puranmashi (full moon). The in-laws visit this gurdwara every puranmashi without fail (for reasons a silly manmukh like me will never know!)

Here I have managed to capture ‘phoolan ki barkha barkhawe’ (the sangat showering flower petals) whilst the kirtanis sing a kickin ‘aarti’

The dudes at the front are showering flower petals as well as doing seva of Maharaaj Ji

The lady on the bottom right is being a nuisance and messin up my photo

Im am takin photos instead of bowing humbly and respectably in prayer!

What I didn’t manage to capture was Jatlee playing dilruba with the kirtanis (actually, I think he just sits there to get a better view of the ladies!) ;o)

I've never heard of 'phoolan ki barkha barkhawe.' It sounds interesting. Often times in my hometown we will throw flower petals during the fourth round of a wedding.

what!! you know i dont do that!! Nanaksar are only few of most jathey that actually beleive Guru Granth Sahib as living Guru! Baba NAnd Singh Ji Maharaaj, has taught us to treat Guru Granth Sahib as Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaaj as Guru Granth Sahib ji maharaaj is one! So here we welcome our Guru By our Guru Mahraaj giving us darshan! Trust me those of you would know that even the Darshan of Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaaj can be soul quenchingly beautiful. Akaal!
